Black Lives Matter: Protesting the Death of Dexter Reed
black-lives-matter immigrationProtesting for Dexter Reed
We will be joining a number of organizations protesting the death of Dexter Reed, who was shot by police in what was by all appearances a pretextual stop. While the case is complicated, we oppose the dehumanizing practice of pretextual stops, and we advocate for accountability for police who continued firing on Reed after he had dropped his weapon.
Please join us tomorrow, April 18 at 6pm at CPD headquarters at 3510 S. Michigan Ave. Let us know if you want to coordinate!
Thank you for coming out for immigrants' rights!
Thank you so much to those who came out in support of work permits for immigrants. We took a photo at the event which you can view on our Instagram
Join us for sidewalk counseling
As a reminder, we have members who sidewalk counsel almost every Saturday morning at Family Planning Associates in downtown Chicago. Get in touch if you want to coordinate! We would be happy to have you.
